Current Compensated Choke

A radio interference suppression choke which is symmetrically constructed with two identical but opposite windings and is connected in both input and output lines. This choke is ineffective for the normal, oppositely oriented current flow, since the fields of both windings compensate each other, but common-mode interference is blocked. Because the magnetic fields of the load current cancel each other out and no direct current bias has to be taken into account, a current-compensated choke can be very small. Back
