✅ Expert e-Commerce, Europe’s third-largest online retailer, has been ordered to cease the sale of products that infringe upon Seoul Semiconductor’s “No-Wire” patent (WICOP). Additionally, infringing products must be recalled and destroyed.
✅ The ruling imposes a comprehensive sales ban on infringing products in the 8 countries and fully upholds the validity of Seoul’s “No-Wire” patent.
✅ Furthermore, the court granted extensive patent rights not only for the products themselves but also for all products utilizing the relevant technology.

Why is this so important?

Traditionally, patent holders had to take legal action in each country separately – a costly and time-consuming process. With the UPC’s new ruling, a unified, Europe-wide enforcement is now possible for the first time, significantly reducing both time and costs.
