OPB735: New non-contact reflective optcoupler for industrial automation applications

TT Electronics, a global supplier of electronics for high-value applications, has introduced its new OPB735 series of reflective object sensors under its Optek Technology brand for the most demanding industrial automation and safety applications. The OPB735 series feature hermetically sealed components, a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 100°C, and reliable and consistent performance in the most demanding applications.

The OPB735 is TT's response to the increasing demand for reliability and consistency in industrial automation applications. The low-profile design of the retro-reflective sensor, along with its wide operating temperature range and hermetically sealed components, offers designers an exceptional solution.

Designers can choose between a phototransistor or photodarlington output to meet specific requirements or parameters; with either option, the detector responds to IR LED (infrared light-emitting diode) radiation only when a reflective object passes within its field of view. The OPB735 is housed side-by-side on converging optical axes in a black thermoplastic housing. The OPB735XWZ variant includes UL 1569-approved AWG28 lead wires. Custom electrical, cabling and connector options are also available.
