It happens again and again that components in a system must be added, repaired or exchanged. If switching off the system is too cost-intensive, for example, or 100% runtime must be ensured, then "hot swapping" is the only option. In order to perform hot swapping - without damaging the devices - special "hot swap" connectors with differently graduated pins are required.
